Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Shar Pei (short coat)

My name is Precious.  I am available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. I came to CCR from a shelter in New Mexico.  There is very little history on me.  CCR has been told I am a Lab Retriever Mix breed and about 2 years old and 46 lbs but that is just a guess made by shelter staff, rescue volunteers, and our veterinarians.    

I am the perfect mix of a family dog, watch Dog with lots of kisses thrown in.  If a stranger comes up, I will let you know and stay by your side until you let me know they can be trusted.  I am intelligent and I take calm instruction well and know commands “sit”, “stay”,  “lay down”, "come" and "shake" (paw).  I love to go on walks and think running and hiking would be great!  I love people and kids and I enjoy the company of a besty Dog friend to run and play in my yard with or tug of war on a chew rope sometimes too!  I must have a decent sized yard to run around in and I LOVE to explore!  I also need a 6' fence that I can't jump over and chase those pesky squirrels.  A walk every day is something I need; 30 minutes should be fine!  I haven't been around cats yet but given how I like to chase squirrels, I probably shouldn't be in a home with them.    I need a home with a yard, not apartment living.  

If you ask for kisses I am sure to give them and I can sleep in your room or in my big crate til breakfast.    I am a chow hound so KONGS are a lifetime love of mine, lol.   Come see me and we can be best friends!!

We are asking for a $200.00 adoption donation for Precious.  Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.  Please note that even house trained dogs will occasionally have accidents when adjusting to new homes.
